Very little produces school spirit and intensity more than participation in a championship sporting event. On Saturday, March 14, the best boys' high school basketball teams in the state played for championship trophies in six different classes in competitions broadcast live from the Bob Devaney Sports Center on NET1 and in high-definition on NET-HD.
The "NSAA Boys State High School Basketball Championships" began at 9:30 a.m. CT with the Class C-2 finals. The day-long coverage continued with the Class D-2 championship game at 11:30 a.m. CT and the Class A title game at 1:30 p.m. CT.
The match-ups continued at 5 p.m. CT with the championship game for Class C-1, followed at 7 p.m. CT by the Class B final. The Class D-1 championship game concluded the day's action at 9 p.m. CT.
