It’s the "Shrine Football Classic" with the best Nebraska high school football players from the senior class of 2009 strapping on their football helmets and lacing up their cleated shoes. This annual football match-up was broadcast live Saturday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m. CT on NET1 and in high-definition on NET-HD.

Calling all the action of this 51st annual Shrine Bowl are sportscasters Kevin Kugler and Adrian Fiala, with Larry Punteney providing sideline reports.

Pierce High School’s Mark Brahmer is coach of the North team, with Jeff Gross from McCook High School coaching the South squad.

The annual gridiron event was webcast live on NET’s Web site (netNebraska.org). All that was needed is access to the Internet and a free Windows Media Player program. Webcasting of the game is a free service of NET.
